I am not looking for an argument. Just asking a question to make sure I have the facts right on that.
He said his car was there already, and his girlfriend dropped him off.

I didn’t say it was true. I was just relaying what was said on the tape because someone asked. It’s an irrelevant point of contention.

Why do you think it was murder?
Looks like the DA's office thinks it was murder
Atlanta Police officer who killed Rayshard Brooks charged with felony murder
Quote:The Atlanta Police officer who shot and killed Rayshard Brooks at a Wendy's parking lot last week was charged with felony murder and other charges, Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard announced Wednesday. The other police officer on scene also faces three charges, including aggravated assault, Howard said.
Quote:The decision comes just five days after Brooks was shot twice in the back in Atlanta during an attempted arrest. Officer Garrett Rolfe, who fired the fatal shots, has already been fired, and officer Devin Brosnan, who was also on scene, has been put on administrative duty. After shooting Brooks, Rolfe said "I got him" and kicked Brooks, and Brosnan then stood on Brooks' shoulder, Howard said. The officers did not provide medical aid to Brooks for over two minutes after shooting him, Howard said.
Their demeanor after the shooting "did not reflect any fear or danger of Mr. Brooks, but reflected other kinds of emotions," Howard said.

Again, irrelevant. And now he’s being rightfully charged with murder:

You don't seem to know how lawyers work do you?
The odds are pretty slim of the DA going ahead to trial for murder - as any decent defense lawyer could beat even murder 2.
I'll bet the DA doesn't want to try this case at all - because it's a dead fish of a case. Win and you piss off the cops - who you have to work with every day -- lose and you piss off the public and riots ensue - and you are the dumb fuck who botched the case....
Lean on the defendant with murder - and 25 years time - let them plead out to man 1 -and 10 years - and you get out of it without looking like a schlub.....

The officer that shot him was angry not afraid. I agree, there was no need to shoot him.
Just watched the press conference about the charges against them. What angers me is that they are giving them until 6pm Thursday, 18th, tomorrow, to turn themselves in. Why would you announce the charges to them and give them the time to either commit suicide or flee? But they did say the other officer who didn't fire seemed to express guilt about what happened and is willing to testify against the other officer who did shoot.
Other things that also express that they were not afraid, is that the shooting cop kicked him while he was down, the other admitted he stood on his shoulder after he went down. And it took them over 2 minutes to lend him any real aid. And the shooting officer had a bullet miss and hit a white SUV with people in it.

Possibly. Worth noting that the other cop involved is the state's witness.
