[Quranic Reflection]: The universe is expanding

WW2 ended in 1939.

WW2 ended in 1945

Your request is wrong both semantically and logically.

What's funny is that there were English translations of the Quran before 1929 and none of them used the word 'expand'.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

What's funny is that there were English translations of the Quran before 1929 and none of them used the word 'expand'.

It's neither credible or accurate translations until English became global.
Take this example from the 18th century translation of George Sale:

Quote:CHAPTER XXX.
ENTITLED, THE GREEKS;q REVEALED AT MECCA.r
IN THE NAME OF THE MOST MERCIFUL GOD.
A. L. M.s THE Greeks have been overcome by the Persians,t

While the literal Arabic to English -and the original verse- does not even mention neither Greeks nor Persians :

Quote:Sura 30, The Quran:
https://quran.ksu.edu.sa/index.php?l=en#...rans=en_sh

( 1 )   Alif, Lam, Meem.
( 2 )   The Byzantines have been defeated

English translations were very poor and very wrong until English became a famous global language, and native Muslims who are familiar with the language began to translate into it.

That's why I insist that your request for an old translation to English is quite strange, I mean if old English translator got simple verses like this wrong; added and forged the original text even; then how do you expect it to give you an honest and authentic meaning ?

The Byzantines WERE Greeks, you boob.

And if you can’t even get the date when a major war ended, how can we expect you to get anything else right?

Funny how neither of those were the English translations before 1929 that I challenged you to present. It's almost like no English translation translated it as 'expand' before 1929....

Hey AtlasS, many sura start with the three letters Alif. Lam. Mim.

Did you know that the english translation of those letters is "WTF?"

Other than obfuscation, I can't see why WinterHold is mixing up;

"WHEN was the Quran first translated into English?" Thanks to Mr Agenda for that useful date of 1649.

 And,

"When did English become the most common language?"

Weird how WinterHold throws random seeming interpretations into a conversation.

 Coffee
Particularly given that the most common language is Mandarin Chinese.

One might expect him to have some intersection with reality. Or perhaps not.

The amount of lying and hypocrisy can be shown here from the mod. He name-calls me and lie about history when he confronted with the evidence from historical records.

How is commenting about some one's lack of knowledge about history and their general level of ignorance hypocrisy or lying?

Not at work.

I lied about history? I'm not the one who got the end date of the Second World War wrong, then corrected it and got it wrong again.

As for the Byzantine Empire, while it is certainly true that it was originally the Eastern half of the Roman Empire, it was ethnically, culturally, and linguistically Greek - Romans weren't all that interested in imposing Latin cultural practices on subjugated peoples (as long as they got their troop levies, I mean).

You're a boob.
