Well, that, and, from what I understand, the faked hate crime was more supposedly motivated by his race than his orientation. Also, I've always been bugged by the fact that the "Assailants" supposedly said "This is MAGA Country." In Chicago (which has had exactly one Republican Alderman since I was born), on the Near North Side (which voted for Hilary in 2016 at a rate of almost four times than they did Trump, which was downright neck-and-neck compared to many other community areas).

Stop... It was LBGT that was supporting Jussie, black people KNEW he was lying and were being called homophobic (black men specifically) for NOT supporting him.

Ayo Tometi is actually straight, their #1 focus has always been the rights of black people, certain attributes of an organisation’s founders don’t necessarily mean it’s all about said attribute, it’s too decentralized for the leaders to dictate how the movement goes, what the fuck are you even talking about?
