NASA officially insists that no hanky panky of any kind has -ever- gone on in space. On the one hand, it's difficult to believe. On the other - the idea of astronauts fucking is seen to be so damaging to the program that a person would risk their career by either engaging in it or acknowledging that it happens. On the other, other...married astronauts have been to space, together...and on the other..other..other...a whole lot of bodily fluid type stuff goes on in space more or less ignored and or lightly covered up or not mentioned, for fun and for science.

Personally, I'm of the opinion that sex stuff in space is like sex stuff when you're a teenager. It happens, and the important thing is to make sure dad never has to explicitly witness it, or acknowledge it.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Attitudes do change, especially, as conservative old folks die off:

My oldest granddaughter was invited to dinner a couple months ago by her paternal grandfather. He really doesn't know her very well and is also very socially awkward....how awkward? He left his notes at home so asked his wife to take a picture and text it to him. He then tried to talk The Bail into joining the military which just isn't happening. Then he tried to get her to change her choice of majors as a veterinarian isn't a real doctor (comment withheld). And then talked to her about sex for nearly an hour. She said he had bullet points on his notes. 17 year old girl slides out of the booth at Chili's after being mortified to death.

I'll have you know that I am an old folk and have been just fine with same sex relationships since I was a teen and found out they are a thing.  I always figured it really wasn't my business who was doing what to whom if I wasn't directly involved.

Probably helps that great aunt Lucy dressed like a man and smoked a pipe.  And great uncle Freeman had quite the sashay in his step. Just seemed to bother others more than I could ever understand.

WASHINGTON — The Senate passed landmark legislation Tuesday that would codify federal protection for marriages of same-sex and interracial couples, with Democrats securing enough votes to overcome opposition from most Republicans.

The Respect for Marriage Act was approved 61-36, with support from all Democrats and 12 GOP votes, after a filibuster was defeated and three amendments offered by Republicans who oppose the bill were rejected.

The measure now returns to the House for a final vote before it can go to President Joe Biden, who said he looks forward to enacting it.

Basically the bill won't stop Idaho from banning two menfolk or two womenfolk from getting hitched, but if they ride the fun bus to Washington State to elope Idaho has to recognize their marriage.

I thought that was already in your constitution, that states have to recognize the laws of other states. Maybe I misunderstood, but I can’t grasp how a marriage can be legal in one state and not another.

Nope. Each state can have its own laws so long as they don't violate federal law. That's why we have states where pot is legal and others where it isn't. Just because it's legal in Colorado doesn't mean I can purchase it and legally bring it into Texas.

I will add that there is some reciprocity between states such as acknowledging a valid state issued driver's license.

We like for things to be as confusing as possible.
