Did Yahweh do us a favor by denying us eternal life?

Did Yahweh do us a favor by denying us eternal life?
Did Yahweh do us a favor by denying us eternal life?

It seems that the older I get, the less enjoyable and desirable the thought of living eternally becomes, even though I am quite pleased with how my life has evolved and how I will end this life.

Be it with a body here on earth, or as a spirit in some heaven, I cannot imagine anyone living eternally and enjoying it.

It would be like living watching the same T V program running over and over and over, since there is nothing new under the sun. All would be seen as allegories and or analogous of other situations.

Thoughts?

Regards
DL

P.S. I see Yahweh as a myth and this question more of a mind exercise.

burp.

Is this thread a veiled attempt to have a pop at marriage/monogamy? Or only frequenting Indian restaurants and having to order a lamb jalfrezi each time? In all seriousness though - I would not want eternal consciousness...eternal/unlimited ANYTHING instills profound fear in my "soul."

Not at all. All of the reasons that you think eternal life would be less enjoyable, as you get older, are also bound up in items god could have set any way it wanted.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

We are all sinners or able to do evil.

That is about the only place where science and nature agree with the bible.

I know that you likely do not even recognize the word sin as valid, so just use do evil and you will see no conflict between the bible and nature in this one case.

We all compete, as we must, and thus make losers of the ones we best, and they would see our winning as evil befalling them.

I have no ulterior motives or agenda.

I do not fear it, but just think I would wish for insanity if the boredom did not make me insane on it's own.

Perhaps, but then I would be under the rule of a genocidal and infanticidal prick of a god.

That is the premise of the question, isn't it?

I am French, but in the poor English I use, that was not the issue.
