Well, I'll be damned...I Googled Stars and Stripes and the thing is online and there was no pay wall.

The best thing I recall about Stars and Stripes back when I would pick it up now and then was news regarding changes to things like the PX, commissary, DODs school information (my girls went to DODs schools for a few years), and other information such as that.

Today I found out that the PX is doubling credit so that GIs can afford to get their new Class A's.  I won't need to look at that paper for another 30 years.   Angel

It was often the only news I could get my hands on when I was stationed in Misawa. It had useful information and was something all services had in common. Glad they walked back on shutting it down.
