I liked the mute mic button, but for it to work, they need to be outside of earshot of everyone else. So put them in a studio or just otherwise contain their ramblings in a soundproof plexiglass enclosure.

Although, that might not be as entertaining as being given increasing amounts of electroshock if the opponent speaks when it's not his allotted time. Longer interruptions, gradually higher voltage.

I suspect Trump would either acclimate to quite a high tolerance for electric shocks or suffer a stroke or something.

Step 3: Every time one of them interrupts or lies, the rope lowers them further

Repeat until someone survives the process.

One problems, lie detectors are worse than tossing a coin for detecting lying.

My suggestion, make the next debate be through interpretive dance.

I beat the detector back in the '70s, total lies with complete sincerity. That was the trick, to BELIEVE you're telling the truth.
