You know, the crazy thing is that I remember a similarly idiotic plot to kill Barack Obama whose participants were arrested 12 years ago today. These two idiots in Tennessee decided the best thing to do was to kill 88 local black people (including many students in a majority black school), and behead 14 of them (Gee, I Wonder Why) and then either run over Barack Obama in their car or do a drive-by on him even though, by that point, he was in another state. Fortunately, they only got as far as shooting at a church door before they and their car, visibly tricked out with Nazi symbols, were arrested. And they were arrested because they made the mistake of bragging about the impending attack to a friend before doing it. Said friend told her mother, who told the cops. They were sentenced two years to the day after their arrest, and one is already out, and the other is scheduled for release in 2021.
