A 1 foot circle (size of chest) at 30 feet is about the best they average. Most simply don't get the practice.

Expecting precision from them is ludicrous.

Of course, as long as cops continue to use guns as the response of choice in situations that don’t require them, it’s going to be pretty difficult to engender that trust.

Exactly how many UNJUSTIFIED shootings do you suppose happen in the US per year? You act as it were an hourly occurance. Do you think that cops draw down on every traffic stop?

Center mass is where your major organs are, and major vessels. And the shooting in the leg, has nothing to do with slowing someone down, legs contain major vessels too, and that can be just as deadly. I really hate the way you think policing is a fucking script and shoot first is justified. Yes shooting someone in the leg is stupid, but so is "shoot first" anywhere on the body. 

Bullets are not fucking paint balls no matter what part of the body they hit. I am so sick of the fucking attitude that police have the right to act as judge jury and executioner.

It’s difficult to tell how many unjustified shootings happen per year, since (for reasons which should be embarrassingly obvious), unjustified shootings are rarely reported - there’s not enough of a database to draw a conclusion. 

But what number are YOU willing to accept? 500? 50? 2? At what point does the number of times police shoot an unarmed or fleeing suspect (and the word is ‘suspect’, not ‘perp’) become acceptable to you?

Civilians with firearms are far less trained than cops for sure. But I wish the left would stop using the word "defund" because the far right don't understand what the fuck that means. We don't want anarchy or no cops, what we want is the "shoot first" funding for training be reallocated to non lethal training and deescalate, and not always sending out cops for non violent calls, or out to the mentally ill. 

It is extremely hard to explain to a gun worshiper that we are not out to get them.
