Do you understand how it answers the question you asked me? Religion is explicitly defined and recognized by normative content - this is why religions cannot avoid making normative statements.

I wouldn't have asked you to elaborate if I did.
Do you now?

Knowledge is basically science—knowing the nature of things (time and space, and manifestations of laws of nature) and use that to survive. Religion is many things for sure—framework to define and enforce moral code (governance) etc—but first and foremost it is a discipline that makes claims—claims rooted in reality as it sees it. This is similar to making deductive inferences and forming hypothesis and theories. Existence of god, afterlife, causal relationships between deeds and calamities etc (sins) are all hypothesis and theories that develop the basis on which religion further concocts social moral code and laws etc. RE: Separation of Science and State

Religion is not a premitive form of science because it's claims tend to be established through revelation not experimentation. RE: Separation of Science and State

Just to be clear, you still don't understand why a thing described as Quote:a set of beliefs and practices which unite in one single moral community called a Church, all those who adhere to them .....cannot avoid making normative statements? What sort of things do you think are established through revelation? Starts with an n, rhymes with ormative.
