They're my oldest friends, only other survivors of a run-and-gun "club" that started in Southeast Asia in 1970. They lived together for years and refused to admit they were gay. Then Missouri legalized same-sex marriage and they invited me to their wedding. I start my emails with "Hello *******!" and they start there's with "Hello Boring and Conventional."
