Now, it is true that America has a Constitution that makes such tactics harder to be successful. But please spare me, Trump from the start, has used every fucking tactic Hitler did. If you want to argue anything, Trump sucked at it. He came close, but he never gained enough control like Hitler did.

Just for the record, this is one of those rare cases where comparing someone/something to Hitler is actually pretty valid, if only because actual historians who specialize in the era are doing so. And Browning ain’t the only one.

I wrote a longer response in another thread, but WTF was with the almost zero security? Shouldn't someone be fired?

I honestly suspect this might have been by design. I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out Trump authorized the Capitol’s security team to be downsized in time for this event. But I wouldn’t bet money on it, especially since it wasn’t until the Obama administration that the Secret Service figured out that locking the front door of the White House would be a good security protocol. Yes, it took over 200 years for them to figure that out.
