Very true, but it does take away from the narrative that he was choked to death, although the 2nd autopsy says it was the neck and not heart failure that killed him. When I have conflicting autopsy reports, what am I to think?

Firefighter Testifies: 'I Was Desperate To Help ... And This Human Was Denied That'
npr.org
Quote:Genevieve Hansen expected Monday, May 25 to be a peaceful day.

That's what she told jurors on Tuesday in the murder trial of former officer Derek Chauvin who is accused of killing George Floyd last year.

Instead, during an off-duty walk home from a community garden she heard a woman yelling that the police were killing the black man, prone and in handcuffs, face down in the street.

Hansen, who is a trained emergency medical technician and Minneapolis firefighter, testified that upon taking in the scene, she moved closer to the officers who were pinning Floyd on the asphalt and identified herself as a first responder.

In video footage played for the court, Hansen could be heard demanding that the officers check his pulse.

"I had already assessed that [Floyd] was in an altered state of consciousness. What I needed to know was if he had a pulse."

She described how Floyd was lying motionless: "He wasn't moving, and he was cuffed. And three grown men putting all of their weight on somebody is too much," she said. "The first thing that concerned me was his face was smushed into the ground. Swollen. It appeared swollen to me."

But rather than allow her to help, Hansen said, then-officer Tou Thao "said something along the lines of, 'If you really are a Minneapolis firefighter, you would know better than to get involved.' "

What the heck? Their job is to defend bad guys. What's your issue exactly? Everyone, no matter how bad, deserves to put up a defense and have legal representation. When Hillary Clinton was a lawyer, she was saying that little girls deserved their rapings because they were seeking the attention of older men. That's what defense attorneys do. They do whatever it takes to get their client off, and there's no shame in that. You're trying to discredit Mark Geragos of all people, one of the biggest names in law because you need to virtue signal about "hitting women is bad and only a bad man would defend them"?

Yeah, he's defended the bad guys alright and gotten into bed with them apparently.

False and irrelevant

So you have resorted to rhetoric to defend Geragos and hype him up because it's convenient to your cop apologetics and accusing me of virtual signaling is a riot coming from you.

While it's too early to tell, especially with COVID as a confounding factor, the heightening of racial tensions is by no means the only explanation for the sudden spike in the murder rates. This article lists several other possibilities, things like trust in police going down the toilet and people resorting to street justice to resolve disputes up to and including murder, or, indeed, the economy tanking, thrusting more people into poverty (a state of affairs that tends to make people more likely to commit murder.) And, of course, it points out that everything's still up in the air.

And, for the record, there's been two autopsies of George Floyd, and, unfortunately, neither one really exonerates Chauvin.

Lets say that you were kneeling on a cops neck...and after a few minutes of that, that cop suffered heart failure or asphyxiation.  Take your pick.   Is there any doubt in your mind that you would be charged?

Or your heart failed because he was kneeling on your neck and keeping you from breathing.
