Chauvin Murder Trial
RE: Chauvin Murder Trial
Floyd didn't make himself the easiest person to defend? What the fuck? Floyd is dead, he's not on trial for anything. Died an innocent man.

Looking like Chauvin wont.

Hell, long past the point where he was able to do anything. And even if it was just because he was resisting arrest, this is inexcusable. Even on the off chance his fentanyl dose was  enough to kill him on its own, keeping a knee on someone's neck long past the point where they've lost consciousness, after the crowd's pointed out that he's clearly not able to resist arrest (which is also against policy for his police force) is inexcusable.

Of course it was inexcusable. Chauvin tried to plead guilty to 3rd degree murder. Even Casey Anthony got off though, because there were questions about the exact manner of death. I'm not trying to make a one to one comparison. I know one incident had video and the other did not. I'm just saying.

Casey Anthony got off because the prosecution didn't bother to check the histories on Firefox as well as Internet Explorer.

Kobe Bryant's accuser Katelyn Faber wasn't on trial either, but it was fair to point out that she had sex hours after the supposed rape by Kobe, the semen of several men was in her underwear, she bragged about the encounter with Kobe to several people, her friend says that Katelyn had a plan to lure Eminem into bed to get money from him, and on and on. Maybe I'm biased because Kobe is my favourite player ever, but even if he was guilty, he still should have gotten off because of how shit she was as a human being with her supposed plans to lure Eminem out of money by accusing him of rape.

George Floyd was not an innocent bystander out for a nice day on the town. He was high off his ass on fentanyl and other drugs, and he was driving, putting people's lives at risk. No, he did not deserve to die, but he wasn't being an innocent angel that day either. We wouldn't be calling him that if he had hit and killed someone with his car as he was driving under the influence.

You are awfully hung up on the topic of rape - especially what you consider to be false allegations.

What's behind that?  Have you been accused of rape?

If I had to guess, I would guess incel based on your obvious misogyny.

RE: Chauvin Murder Trial
That may be, but the fact remains that we're not living in a world where George Floyd is on trial for a hit and run that he committed while under the influence. We're living in a world where Derek Chauvin is on trial for killing George Floyd with tactics that are well beyond anything acceptable for the Minneapolis PD.

You can complain about how off-base it is to turn George Floyd into something of a secular saint because of his death, but that's not the issue at hand. Hell, I don't even know if any of the cops were aware of his past record when they started to choke him. The question is: does what Chauvin did to Floyd constitute murder?

No, I have never been accused of rape. False accusations are a thing though, you know. Innocent until proven guilty. I was accused of domestic assault once by a crazy 16 year old girl who I told to move out after I found out she was cheating. She locked herself in the bathroom and threatened to cut her wrists with a razor blade if I made her move out. The only physical contact that was made by me was me swerving away when she tried to hug me after I told her she had to go. There was zero bruising, and she later admitted that she made it all up because I brought another girl over to stay the night at my place that night and she was just jealous. To this day, I still have no criminal record. I'm a good boy. My personal experience with a false accusation isn't really relevant to this thread though, so let's try not to get this too off topic.

Derek Chauvin was wrong, but was it 2nd degree? We'll see what the jury thinks.

How old were you when living with a 16 year old?

You are the one who keeps bringing up rape.

It's not a debate tool. If someone was robbing a bank and the police end up wrongfully killing them, that still doesn't make them innocent. They were still bank robbers. Innocent and bank robber don't really belong in the same sentence, do they? Of course Floyd driving under the influence is irrelevant to whether he was murdered or not.

lol I was old enough, but that's not relevant to the topic at hand. Let's get back to Mr. Floyd and Mr. Chauvin.

Then why did you bring it up?
