A point that explains the “illegally owning a firearm” charge. He was already a convicted felon. If only I knew this earlier.

Like it or not, carrying or possessing a firearm of any kind during the commission (attempted or completed) of a crime is its own separate felony in the state of Michigan.

They are reporting "illegally owning" not "illegal use of" a firearm.

BIG FUCKING DIFFERENCE.

The code you inappropriately posted covers USE not OWNERSHIP....
 He never ended up using it to kidnap the governor because they never got around to kidnapping the governor.  That's not actually a mitigating circumstance with respect to us law........
