A congressman's son (21) held an underage girl (15) at his place for a week to rape and beat her repeatedly And while doing so, 21 also sold 15 off to sleep with his friends (4-5 customers a day) After the case gone viral, 21 were arrested Police : "So, you raped her?" 21 : "No, we did it because we love each other" Police : "If you loved her, then why did you made her sleep with your friends?" 21 : "That's why I beat her.." And the lawyer said "They loved and care deeply for each other. But adultery is a great sin. So, to solve this, we should bind them in marriage" So, according to the lawyer, the best punishment for rape crime is As a punishment for his crime, his client has to marry the girl he just beat, raped and sold to his friends..
Unfortunately, while I agree with this appeals court blocking the reversal of a lower court on CA's assault weapon's ban, considering the SCOTUS is severely lopsided, this only looks to me as a temporary reprieve from insanity.

The Late Antonin Scalia has in a couple gun cases said basically, that while the right to bare arms is a right, firearms, at the same time can be regulated. The far right always ignores even their own when they disagree with them. I hope you are right, but I won't hold my breath.
