From what I've heard, Heaven sounds like a prison.

Fortunately, heaven only serves to scare the dolts.

The prison of brick and mortar is meant to imprison you after you actually get in. The prison of heaven is meant to imprison you even before you find out whether it exists or not.

Yeah, like you.

How is it I lied to him, I did not tell him a thing about heaven. I do know from Bible studies that heaven is not the place that was discribed to Jax, as a matter of fact being a christian and being in heaven is a freedom you can't imagine.

You should not talk about yourself like that Min, you could give yourself an inferiority complex.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

You have no idea what I can imagine. But unlike you I have sober moments when I take stock of what is real.

Not a problem, G-C.

You see, I'm not the one who still thinks he has an invisible friend.

Someone?
Actually, I've heard this from a group of people.

A freedom you can't imagine? Really? I thought god is this strict person who would immediately punish you if you fuck up one of the tiniest rules, Adam and Eve for example. I really can't sense freedom.

But, then, yesterday I heard from someone heaven is somewhat a prison for people.

In heaven, you spend your whole entire afterlife worshipping god with your other Christian members, heaven has no sins, which means you will lose most of your personality. You do anything wrong just to piss your god off, you get kicked out and right down to hell. Everyone is a drone in heaven. You are to worship Jesus and God, no one else but them, not your wife, parents or children.

Sure, In hell it's eternal suffering, but hey, at least you get to keep your personality and you don't have to worry about breaking the simplest rule, because you're already in Hell.
And plus, in an atheist point of view, why would the devil punish us when we are the one who deny god, and the devil tried to overthrow god, so you never know what he might think about us, ROFLOL

Anyway, doesn't heaven sound like a prison?

The Heaven a lot of people are familiar with is according to the bible a temporary place, which will be replaced by the New Earth when Jesus Christ returns. The New Earth is supposed to be a re-creation of the Garden of Eden, where those who will be judged favourably by god might possibly spend forever as his willing slaves.

I can't remember the video I saw that discussed pretty much the same topic. The guy pointed out that as there is no sin, it's not that if you do sin you're out of heaven, it's that you literally wouldn't be able to sin in the first place and that includes thoughts....he likened it to a lobotomy removing part of your own being, your personality, your freewill...everything that makes you, you. Also, you would either have to be forced to forget all the loved ones you had on earth who, for whatever reason, ended up in Hell or know for a fact that they were suffering eternally and how would spending eternity knowing people you loved and who loved you were suffering be anyway heaven?
