I have read about 12 of those. My favorite by far was "To Kill a Mockingbird". I love studying about that time period because it isn’t that long ago and yet it was such a different world! One of my favorite To Kill a Mockingbird quotes is,
“There are just some kind of men who – who're so busy worrying about the next world they've never learned to live in this one, and you can look down the street and see the results.”
There are some other really good ones on Shmoop but that one just rings so true.

To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my favorite books of all time. Atticus Finch is by far my favorite character.

I've read 39. I'm 37. I've read mostly hard science since my mid 20s. As far as fiction goes, I've read all the Dick, Burroughs, LeCarre, Ludlum, Clavell and most of Goodkind and Salvatore. I've read the christian bible 4 or 5 times through and at least 5 or 6 translations of the Tao de Ching. I was hoping that all that nothingness would cancel out the shit from the bible.

I've got 15 on that list. And I read everything Tolkien has written, and everything from the Harry Potter series as well.
Ive been reading the big classics like Dante's Inferno, and the Odyseey that I didnt see on the list. Most of those are contemporary are very modern. I didnt see anything scientific on the list either, which makes up half of my reading list. Gone through everything from Sagan and Dawkins and Hawkings and Neil Tyson.
