A Colorado UFO watchtower has been waiting for the government to catch up
Messoline, 61, is the manager of the UFO Watchtower, a scrappy roadside attraction that rises out of the southern Colorado desert scrub. For 26 years, it has drawn curious road-trippers and a stream of believers who figure that if the truth is out there, it might well show up here. A thick binder on the desk of the gift shop overflows with testimonies and puzzling photos reflecting more than 300 sightings.
Many bear similarities to the declassified materials the Defense Department describes as “unresolved” and is now publishing online in retro Commodore 64-style font. The government files include FBI interviews, NASA transcripts, grainy military videos and law enforcement statements. Announcing the data dump in May, President Donald Trump said the information would allow Americans to “decide for themselves, ‘WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?’ Have Fun and Enjoy!”
In this high desert flanked by snowy mountains, the revelations, though murky, have prompted both excitement and it’s-about-time eyerolls. Messoline’s mother, Judy Messoline, opened the watchtower on a lark but says she has since seen 30 UFOs. She is no fan of Trump, but on this policy matter, she approves.
The UFO Watchtower is not quite Roswell or Area 51, but for many who think we are not alone, it has become a requisite stop on an extraterrestrial circuit. The San Luis Valley is home to the wind-carved Great Sand Dunes National Park, bubbling hot springs, sprawling potato farms, a reptile park with more than 300 alligators — and, over centuries, sightings of confounding phenomena.
In 1967, the valley burst onto the national scene as the site of the first widely publicized livestock “mutilations” — a topic of fascination for the alien-interested — when an Appaloosa horse named Snippy turned up dead in a field, stripped of its hide, its organs carefully removed. Locals speculated about extraterrestrials; the sheriff suspected lightning.
The area also shares features common to many UFO-sighting hot spots, according to a University of Utah study: dark skies and a wide-open Western landscape.
Judy Messoline moved to Hooper in the late 1990s from Colorado’s populous Front Range, planning to trade her work with horses for cattle. She bought acreage, but her effort at ranching was a bust. The terrain was too rocky and dry.
But while working at a convenience store, she heard plenty of stories from farmers about strange things in the sky, and she quipped that someone should open a UFO watchtower. One farmer told her it was a good idea, so she did it.
Tower is a generous word. It is more of a platform, shaped like a U and 10 feet off the ground — sufficient height, Judy Messoline said, to “get off the lay of the land.” Entry costs $5.
“I stand out there daily and say, ‘For god’s sake, Scotty, beam me out of this place. I don’t care where, just get me out of here!’” she said, shaking her head, and only partially joking.
Visitors come from around the world. Some spend all day on the tower, staring at the horizon, Larry Messoline said. Others camp on the property and pull out telescopes. Scientists and employees of a prominent aerospace contractor have stopped by and shared about their own mysterious encounters, he said.
Savannah Woldengen, 18, removed a transparent heart charm from her bracelet and set it in a dusty shot glass, an offering she hoped would let otherworldly beings “know I’m here.”
Woldengen said she had only dabbled in the government UFO files, but the visit had inspired her to dig deeper. She didn’t see anything uncanny at the watchtower, but it did not diminish her belief.
“I just think it’s beautiful to hope,” said Woldengen, an art student from Liberty, Missouri. “I just love aliens so much and everything about them.”

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Immigrants are aliens, aliens are aliens, therefore immigrants are aliens! 😱
Quote:White House Launches “Aliens” Website — A UFO Bait-and-Switch for Immigration Enforcement
The Trump Administration has released a new page on the official government website: whitehouse.gov/aliens (also accessible at Aliens.gov), that initially reads like a long-awaited government UFO disclosure, before revealing its true subject, undocumented immigrants and ICE enforcement data.
Visitors to the page are greeted with green text on a black background that reads:
“For 60 years, the U.S. government has kept a closely guarded secret.
Aliens have been walking among us, living in our neighborhoods, and interacting with us in our daily lives.
They’ve shopped in the same stores, attended the same classes as our children, and lived seemingly normal human existences.
With one exception — they do not belong here.
Millions arrived under the cover of darkness and embedded themselves directly into our society.
Countless presidents, congressmen, and senior officials knew exactly what was happening.
Instead of protecting American citizens, they chose to cover it up and even accelerate the invasion.
Until one man finally had the courage to tell the truth.
Bold. Unapologetic. Unafraid.
President Trump was the first to call out the real danger Aliens pose to every American family, every community, and the future of our nation.
The truth is no longer out there. It is right here. Right now.
If you’ve witnessed an Alien abduction, do not be alarmed.
The Alien is in good hands.
We will take care of it… and return it safely to its place of origin.”
The site goes on to host a live “Alien Arrest Map” that allows users to search by city or state to view immigration arrest totals, dates, criminal charges, countries of origin, and suspected gang affiliations. A running counter on the page displayed more than 3.1 million “encounters” at the time of its launch. An ICE tip line button invites visitors to “Report Suspicious Aliens.”
The Trump Administration has continually used dehumanizing language when targeting immigrants in the United States. Studies confirm that dehumanizing language increases anger and disgust toward the targeted group, making harsher policy more politically palatable to the public.

FL Entrepreneur’s UFO Sightings Lead To His Opening A Beachside Alien Artifacts Museum
Dave Metcalfe was 21 years old the first time he saw what he believed was an alien spacecraft.
Now, decades later, he’s the owner of a newly opened aliens artifacts museum on St. Pete Beach, Museum of the Unknown.
Ancient artifacts that Metcalfe believes are of alien origin are displayed throughout the space. He said the carbon-dated relics were recovered from an archaeological dig north of Mexico City and range from 5,000 to 45,000 years old, he told Patch.
It was the early 1990s, when Metcalfe had that first UFO sighting. The U.S. Air Force veteran had already left the military, trading his time in uniform for civilian life.
He started his own company, Sharkey’s, which offers water sports rentals and glass-bottom, LED-illuminated nighttime kayak tours on local waters.
As his business grew, he moved closer and closer to the waterfront, until finally, in November 2023, he moved into a beach house overlooking the Gulf. It was a longtime goal.
“So that’s what I was doing, night and day, looking at the stars, and … then those lights, man, they started appearing,” he said.
First came the white orbs. Then others started to appear in the sky, day and night, and he started recording them all.
He continues to post all of his videos to his YouTube page, UFOwebcam, and compiled a book of his sightings. He also submitted many of them to local U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna.
“You can see the swarms coming from the ocean. I have over 200 videos of just these,” Metcalfe said. “They come towards my house. I mean, millions of them. I’ve got to the point where I can communicate with them. Not only are they lights, they respond to me; they transform. They’ve transformed in what we think is a scarab, which is a beetle … and they transform into many things.”
He added, “I get them to blink. I can kind of get them to gather in some way.”
This is how he met Arturo Hernandez, who leads the dig near Mexico City, in February. Curious, Metcalfe purchased a relic from the archaeologist.
“I was just blown away, like, ‘Wow, these are so cool,’” he said. “And then I just kept buying and buying and buying.”
At one point, Metcalfe had 13 relics in his home. He used them similar to the crystals, trying to draw UFOs to his deck. Eventually, his fiancée grew nervous about the pieces.
“I brought them all there and I was like, ‘Wait, I can’t have all this stuff here.’ And my fiancée was like, I don’t want that in our room,’” he said. “I had half my upstairs with just relics, and we got a couple cats, and they’re just jumping around these pieces. I’m like, ‘Oh my God. They’re going to knock one over.’”
Metcalfe contemplated putting the pieces in storage when he came up with the idea for a museum. He reached out to Czyszczon, who owns several properties along the beach, including the former bank building that the Museum of the Unknown currently calls home.
All proceeds from ticket sales will fund the Mexico dig site. Tickets are $35 for adults, free for those 5 and under, and $25 for seniors, active military members, and children 6 to 17.
Metcalfe is eager to share these findings with as many people as he can, both tourists and locals.
He’s also convinced the aliens are visiting with an important message for humanity.

You can finally find out the truth about aliens, as in extraterrestrials, but you have to buy a book.
I mean what is $20 for government secrets?
Quote:U.S. Government's Top UFO Hunter Will Break His Silence on Alleged 'Coverup' of Alien Life
A hotly-anticipated memoir among UFO enthusiasts from one of the U.S. government’s most seasoned and senior former alien hunters now has a release date.
Jay Stratton — a former intelligence official who spent 16 years as the driving force behind the government’s investigation into unidentified aerial phenomena and potential alien life — will publish Out of the Shadows: Revealing the Truth About Non-Human Intelligent Life on Oct. 13.
“I have seen with my own eyes,” he said, “non-human craft and non-human beings.”
A highly-decorated career defense official who held the civilian rank of two-star general, Stratton was the first director of the Pentagon’s Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force and co-founded a pioneering government program to investigate UAPs (referred to for many years as UFOs) after learning that objects of unknown origin had been spotted over American nuclear weapon sites.
Now his memoir teases further insights.
“Operating in the shadows of the intelligence community, Stratton discovered an 80-year coverup of the existence of non-human intelligent life and fought back against powerful gatekeepers who have hid the truth from the public, Congress, and even Presidents,” his publisher, HarperCollins, said in a statement.
Stratton, who retired from government in 2022, will be breaking his silence about what he claims are unnerving encounters he witnessed during his investigations.

The government must not have been too concerned about protecting their '80-year coverup' being that they let him publish his stupid book rather than disappear his sorry ass.

My takeaway from all this isn't so much about people wanting to believe in aliens as it is that they actually believe ANY government can keep a secret for 80 years.

Fears rise after mysterious people seen entering NYC manholes
Clips of mystery groups climbing out of manholes in Brooklyn has frightened locals on social media, despite police officials emphasizing that there is no threat to the public.
The people seen leaving the city's sewer systems have yet to be identified, leaving many to come up with their own theories on what they could be doing in the tunnels.
Users flooded the comments under the bizarre video footage posted across the Internet, many expressing concern over the separate incidents.
"That is truly terrifying," wrote one X user on the clips.
"It is a little scary that July 4th is right around the corner and there is going to be a huge celebration all over the country especially in NYC," another person commented on Reddit.
One Reddit user posted on a local subreddit: "Anyone else getting a little nervous about the people going in the manholes?"
A law enforcement official said that the NYPD's main theory is that the trespassers were looking for valuables, according to NBC New York.
"There is no threat to public safety at this time," a NYPD spokesperson said.
"The investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD’s Intelligence Division."
