Our hospital systems Australia wide are approaching critical levels due to covid.
But our government has found an easy way to reduce those long wait queues at the testing clinics and take pressure off our health staff.
This test also negates the need for a rapid antigen test kit.
Since you lose smell and taste as a symptom of being infected, now the govt has asked everybody who thinks they may be infected to perform this very simple test at home.
"You just stick one finger in your mouth and one up your bum. Then simply swap fingers and if you can't taste or smell any difference, then please stay home and isolate for 7 days."
Genius! Why didn't I think of it!

My slightly hypochondriac wife sniffs the dogs mouth as a test. I'm not kidding.
I've offered my butt but I think she fears the inevitable progression.
