Ah yes another idiot who wants to blame gays for the catholic churches problems rather than you know pedophiles (because having sex with boys doesn't mean your gay and most pedophiles show no interest in adult men and show an interest in adult women)

Although this is only the tip of the iceberg as to the depth of corruption.... it gives the

blame evil opportunity seekers of the gay lifestyle. Or, just blame God as per the usual case
here.
But, the Good News (for Catholics & victims of these vermin) is that it is now "completely" exposed.
And some people care enough to clean it up. While others in this age of insanity will inexplicably want
to embrace the nonsense! Perhaps even some of you! It's becoming more the taste for the secular pagans.

No, the RCC is a bunch or cross dressing men who have a problem with the empowerment of women for political and financial reasons. Gotta have those baby catholics produced by baby factories. That's all women are good for, right?

Skirts did not become uniquely feminine until the 16th-century. Prior to that men wore gown-like clothing; the RCC continues to dress in their Medieval garb.
As a biological male, I sometimes wear mid-calf skirts. I do not regard such as crossdressing, although, I have no issues with men who, for non-feminine motives, wear skirts or dresses, unless they are doing so for reasons of sexual exploitation, which, to my understanding, is quite rare.

I suggest watching the video, which documents the "style" since at least the late 1940's and through the 1960's.
Vatican II, became the "open door" to Liberalism in the church, and the continued corruption and tolerance of abuse within the church.

Ummm... how many of us do you hear blaming God for things?
Catholic Church has been an evil mess ever since it gained massive power and prestige. Some sixteen or so centuries ago. Seekers of the "gay lifestyle" are not the problem here... if gay lifestyle means seeking consensual sex with people. It's the nonconsensual shit (gay or otherwise) that's the problem here.
Enjoy cleaning up your powerful and prestigious institution. So long as it's rich and powerful, it's going to be a corrupt mess.
Sorry, I meant the "worship of God". Which usually collects all denominations of Christianity. I should've been more clear.
The amount of gays in the clergy is enormous. And the overwhelming evidence shows they ran the seminaries for decades, only admitting "like-minded" individuals.
And, there will be a small congregation left when it finally does get fumigated.

It was never a secret, everyone knows about pedos in the Church but the Church won't do anything to stop priests to rape children and is protecting them from the police.
For example, everyone knew about the prolific pedophile priest Marcial Maciel and how the Vatican was protecting him. Here the Cardinal Ratzinger was confronted by a reporter who was asking him to do something about this active pedophile, but Ratz only got angry at the reporter (good ol' blame the victim/ messenger) and pretened that he doesn't know about him - although he was well known to everyone else.
Eventually, Maciel retired, and the Vatican sent him to jail - no, just kidding. They sent him to live in one of many villas owned by the Vatican and think about what he did.
Because the church has been infiltrated for almost a century. And the crimes have been covered up.

The Second Vatican Council, in the opinion of many scholars (some of whom are Catholic), was the most significant Church council since the Council of Nicaea, in that it openly contradicted many of the so-called "dogmas" of the Church. Many churchmen, no longer fearing eternal Hell (after all, everyone now is destined for Heaven, atheists included), were now free to act upon their most perverse desires, knowing that the Hierarchy would protect them.

The Catholic church was founded in the first century. Its structure became hierarchical within a generation. That is when corruption probably began. In the fourth century, the emperor Theodosius 1 made christianity the State religion of the Roman empire. With the emperor's approval and encouragement, the christians began murdering any opposition and burning their books. IMO it is from that time that the church became ineffably corrupt.
As far as I know, the church hierarchy has always bene autocratic, with the pope its absolute ruler. Add an obscene amount of wealth to that and the merely corrupt becomes evil over time.
During the Renaissance the pope was arguably the most powerful man in Christendom. He could (and did) dethrone monarchs. Have look at the history of the Borgia and Medici popes.
The pope still had absolute power in thee papal states until the unification of Italy in the nineteenth century.
For centuries, no cleric could be tried by civil authorities for any offence whatsoever . They had to be turned over to church authorities for trial by a church tribunal.
During in all of those centuries up until the present day, it was church teaching that Canon (church) Law trumps civil law.
Imo it's not that the church has only become corrupt in relatively recent times, say within the last hundred years or so. It's that we only really found out about the depth and systemic pervasiveness of that corruption within well within the last 50 years. I'm unsurprised at new revelations. if anything I'm surprised at the furore. What the fuck did people expect? The church was permitted to operate unsupervised and often ignored for 2000 years.
I am comforted with the knowledge that all human systems and institutions eventually crumble and fall. In the case of the church, I'm only saddened that I won't live to see it. Over my lifetime, the church though its teachings and hatreds has caused me much personal suffering. I would love to piss on its proverbial grave.
I agree with much of what you are saying here. There is a lot NOT to like about the RCC.
My agreement is with the dogma. And the sacraments. The fellowship is good too.
Whether or not the "clean-up" happens in my lifetime, I believe that the Truth will prevail, and evil will ultimately lose.
There are many. many good people involved. Most are not good judges of character, or motive. When spiritual matters are involved
or even political matters....we are inclined to "believe" authority. Case-in point. our society and the pandemic.
All we as Christians can do is pray for discernment and strength to change the things we find to be corrupt and a cancer in our lives.
Lastly, we NEED to remember the Church is God's people. It's not a building, a religion or institution. IT'S PEOPLE. God's people.

The number of ‘gays in the clergy’ has always been enormous (relative to the general population), but that’s got nothing to do with the Church being in decline. The cause is much more likely to be the hard-liners.
As society in general becomes more open and accepting of divergence - in sexuality, reproductive rights, politics, religious expression - the Church has largely held on to dogma that doesn’t reflect either the attitudes or the desires of its congregants. In other words, the Catholic Church has failed Catholics. That is the chief reason you have empty pews. If the Church wants more congregants, it needs to change its stances on abortion, birth control, a celibate all-male priesthood, gay marriage, and many other issues.
People aren’t leaving the Church because their priest is playing ‘hide the cannoli’ with other men. That’s just silly.
