Ah yes another idiot who wants to blame gays for the catholic churches problems rather than you know pedophiles (because having sex with boys doesn't mean your gay and most pedophiles show no interest in adult men and show an interest in adult women)

God is not the cause of anything, He/her/it/housecat does not exist in the first place. No point blaming an imaginary being for anything, is there? No, the RCC is a bunch or cross dressing men who have a problem with the empowerment of women for political and financial reasons. Gotta have those baby catholics produced by baby factories. That's all women are good for, right? Prior to that men wore gown-like clothing; the RCC continues to dress in their Medieval garb. As a biological male, I sometimes wear mid-calf skirts. I do not regard such as crossdressing, although, I have no issues with men who, for non-feminine motives, wear skirts or dresses, unless they are doing so for reasons of sexual exploitation, which, to my understanding, is quite rare.
And without delay Peter went quickly out of the synagogue (assembly) and went unto the house of Marcellus, where Simon lodged: and much people followed him...And Peter turned unto the people that followed him and said: Ye shall now see a great and marvellous wonder. And Peter seeing a great dog bound with a strong chain, went to him and loosed him, and when he was loosed the dog received a man's voice and said unto Peter: What dost thou bid me to do, thou servant of the unspeakable and living God? Peter said unto him: Go in and say unto Simon in the midst of his company: Peter saith unto thee, Come forth abroad, for thy sake am I come to Rome, thou wicked one and deceiver of simple souls. And immediately the dog ran and entered in, and rushed into the midst of them that were with Simon, and lifted up his forefeet and in a loud voice said: Thou Simon, Peter the servant of Christ who standeth at the door saith unto thee: Come forth abroad, for thy sake am I come to Rome, thou most wicked one and deceiver of simple souls. And when Simon heard it, and beheld the incredible sight, he lost the words wherewith he was deceiving them that stood by, and all of them were amazed. (The Acts of Peter, 9)

Vatican II, became the "open door" to Liberalism in the church, and the continued corruption and tolerance of abuse within the church. Which usually collects all denominations of Christianity. I should've been more clear. The amount of gays in the clergy is enormous. And the overwhelming evidence shows they ran the seminaries for decades, only admitting "like-minded" individuals. And, there will be a small congregation left when it finally does get fumigated. The Second Vatican Council, in the opinion of many scholars (some of whom are Catholic), was the most significant Church council since the Council of Nicaea, in that it openly contradicted many of the so-called "dogmas" of the Church. Many churchmen, no longer fearing eternal Hell (after all, everyone now is destined for Heaven, atheists included), were now free to act upon their most perverse desires, knowing that the Hierarchy would protect them.

Below is my 2 cents. I agree with much of what you are saying here. There is a lot NOT to like about the RCC. My agreement is with the dogma. And the sacraments. The fellowship is good too. Whether or not the "clean-up" happens in my lifetime, I believe that the Truth will prevail, and evil will ultimately lose. There are many. many good people involved. Most are not good judges of character, or motive. When spiritual matters are involved or even political matters....we are inclined to "believe" authority. Case-in point. our society and the pandemic. All we as Christians can do is pray for discernment and strength to change the things we find to be corrupt and a cancer in our lives. Lastly, we NEED to remember the Church is God's people. It's not a building, a religion or institution. IT'S PEOPLE. God's people.

That's just common sense. The number of ‘gays in the clergy’ has always been enormous (relative to the general population), but that’s got nothing to do with the Church being in decline. The cause is much more likely to be the hard-liners. As society in general becomes more open and accepting of divergence - in sexuality, reproductive rights, politics, religious expression - the Church has largely held on to dogma that doesn’t reflect either the attitudes or the desires of its congregants. In other words, the Catholic Church has failed Catholics. That is the chief reason you have empty pews. If the Church wants more congregants, it needs to change its stances on abortion, birth control, a celibate all-male priesthood, gay marriage, and many other issues. People aren’t leaving the Church because their priest is playing ‘hide the cannoli’ with other men. That’s just silly. Boru |
