Trump is going to be reelected....

Trump is going to be reelected....
...if he remains healthy, is not assassinated, etc.

My reasoning is simple:

1) The Federal Reserve is going to be forced to raise interest rates here soon, as inflation is spiraling out of control.

2) Peak Oil has likely arrived, or, is about to; the US will deplete its emergency reserves sooner or later.

3) Kamala Harris, while completely competent, is widely despised due to racism, sexism, anti intellectualism, etc. The only real question is if President Biden will resign after the midterms to give her a fighting chance or not.

When #1 and #2 happen, the US economy will tank, resulting in a major recession, if not depression. People will blame the Democrats; Trump will ride the economic misfortunes of the poor working class, along with the religious conservatives, to victory.

People will vote on the "lesser of two evils". Trump, if he does not get the nomination, will run as a 3rd party candidate; he will sink the election to get even. Everyone knows that.

That's even better because he will split the rights vote

They know that, which is why the Republican Party will nominate Trump.

History, I believe, will judge it a myth of our day that Trump had control over the Republican Party; the exact opposite is true. It is the Party elites who controlled him. Trump is a master of quid pro quo; he gave the Conservatives in the Senate exactly what they wanted, a wagon train of Federalist society picked judges, no questions asked.

That's why they (secretly) love him; he gets things done that they want done. They will Rinse & Repeat for (just) one more term.

1. No they really don't. One faction thinks they can pull off a win without Trump while others think they can't win without him.

2. I don't agree that Trump wasn't in charge as he went off-script so many times even on judges only to have the Republican party cave into his demands despite objections. He's the monster they lost control of.

3. Yes Trump does get things they want done. But now he's a huge liability and they have a whole group of Trumpist to choose from who don't have his baggage to choose from.

He wasn't elected in the first place. He was imposed.

Trump's not going to run again.

If such is the case, then he (Trump) will have absolutely no credibility, even in the eyes of his followers, because, if a second term was truly "stolen" from him, how could he not run?

RE: Trump is going to be reelected....
I could definitely see this scenario happening; the indicators are all pointing that direction. However, I'm not sure but Trump might actually be out-Trumped by Desantis or someone similar, which will be an even greater disaster because Trump's greatest enemy is his own stupidity. If he were half as savvy as Putin, the US would be well into its first dictatorship/emperorship. The Trumps would likely have reined for 3 generations.
Why is it so?
