Didn't the nuns tell you that will send you to Hell?  Or are you saying you believe what the church tells you, except when you don't?  Hypocrite.
Well I mean, if I'm going to Hell anyway, I might as well do what I want. But I no longer believe Heaven and Hell are real anyway, so it's a moot point.

Yet you don't even see the obvious discrepancy in your own "logic".  That's pretty sad.

By the way, moot doesn't mean what you think it means.
Why is it so?

I very much doubt your anecdote is true. Christians don't care about science.

In the USA, about 30% of scientists are Christians.

Should women be subservient to their husbands?
Should white people consider themselves superior to other races?
Should homosexuals be ostracized and banned from society?

These are just some of the possible teachings that one might see in a Christian religion, depending on the type of church you go to.  There are an array of others but all quite restrictive.  So, are you saying you agree that people should be restricted in their thinking by religion?  Is this why you left Christianity?  Hypocrisy, again and again and again with you.  Always hypocrisy.
I left Catholicism because at that point in my life, my homosexual urges were becoming too strong to ignore, and I didn't think there was much point in continuing to go through the motions of Catholicism if I was actually gay.

Have you considered conversion therapy?

I firmly believe that moot point was used in an acceptable way, change my mind.

Also in relation to the thread, my opinion on religion hasn't changed since I was about 13 or 14.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

I don't have any strong beliefs about life, death or the afterlife, I don't believe its understandable if there even is something to understand.

I believe religions are purely human made, either people pretending to know or delusional in what they think they know.
