Lol yeah, Ukraine totally loves being invaded and its people killed because..... defense contracts and the bloodshed can end if Russia pulls the fuck out or better still never fucking invaded, to begin with, And peace at any cost is no peace...
Also, Ukraine can win and is winning by every metric so why the fuck should they stop fighting ? .....

You have American politicians and political commentators who are even calling for a no-fly zone in Ukraine, which would literally mean directly attacking Russia militarily. We need to check ourselves.
No fly zones so Russia can't continue to bomb cities to rubble is sane and could save thousands. We don't need to check ourselves Russia needs to stop being a dick. Also if there is no international law and no one to enforce it ....Well we have seen where that leads.

I think Zelenskyy has an inflated ego and if the US is handing over billions of dollars in weapons time after time, that kind of takes away a lot of the incentive to make peace. It's not that Ukrainians love dying or whatever.
Hillary Clinton had that same idea of doing a no-fly zone in Syria, which would have been absolutely bonkers and Obama and Trump knew better. But, seeing how close Hillary got to getting elected, shows that someone with really extreme policies like a no-fly zone could easily get elected. And enforcing a no-fly zone in Ukraine literally means shooting down Russian planes, which is basically World War 3. You don't actually want WWIII, do you?
I think it's quite unlikely this whole situation right now leads to nuclear warfare, but scientists seem to take this prospect pretty seriously when talking about civilizations out there in the universe. You'll usually hear scientists speculate about whether most civilizations end up leading to their own demise with technology/ weapons of mass destruction. This is not something to take lightly, and you're basically endorsing WWIII by calling for a no-fly zone, whether you see it that way or intend that or not. You carry on this risky behaviour for hundreds of years in the future, and eventually the shit is going to hit the fan and the nukes will start flying. Eventually we are going to run into the wrong dictator who really is crazy enough to go all out. You play with fire long enough, you get burned.
We have no reason to believe Putin is going to start invading everywhere. That's pure speculation on your part and you don't really have much to back it up.

Yup, it’s the president of Ukraine with the inflated ego. Certainly not Tzar Vlad.
If that were true, then you and your fellow nuts wouldn’t be pleading with the rest of the world to abandon Ukraine so that the Russians might scrape out a w.
And ofc we have no reason to think that Russia would invade its neighbors other than all of the invasions of its neighbors over the past couple decades. Pure speculation on the part of people viewing recent history in mere reality.

People in the media and Western politicians have been painting the narrative that Putin is a mad man who could pull a Hitler and all of that nonsense. It's not happening. Like Chomsky said, Putin is the same man he has been. Yes, I'm aware of the happenings with Russia's neighbours, but that is what it is. Putin will very likely stick to the rivers and the lakes that he's used to (TLC). He's not going to try to pull off some crazy expansion into Europe. This is simply propaganda the media is pushing without evidence to ramp up support for the war.
I like how you're willing to put the whole planet at risk by shooting down Russian planes, and you're so sure they're going to back down and not respond. No military would dare try to establish a no-fly zone in Ukraine, or take that risk right now, and thank Jeebus that that level of sanity has prevailed at least.

Who’s been pulling that narrative? Who is telling us that Ukraine should be subjugated so that vlad doesn’t start lobbing nukes?
No military would dare to try and establish a no fly zone in Ukraine? Sure about that…cuz it seems like the best military in Ukraine might be interested.

It is happening no matter how much you and old Noam sink your heads in the sand and deny it.

I like how you are willing to let Russian indecimantaly bomb cities. And a no-fly zone is only an issue if Putin decides to violate it.

Yes, me and the rest of the entire world are willing to let Russia indiscriminately bomb cities. If my choices are that or possible WWIII, one is the lesser of two evils and far less people die in that scenario. I'll take millions of less deaths if those are my options.

Full on lord farquat shit. Some Ukrainians may die, but that’s a sacrifice a Canadian is willing to make.
At least we’re finally done bullshitting people about concern for Ukrainians, eh? Probably why you think no one gives a shit. We all imagine that other people think like we do.

Millions of deaths would only occur if Russia was stupid enough to violate it and not even then as no one is going to use freaking nukes....
