I'm aware they've been going at it for a while now. They also discussed a peace deal a few times in the past year, and I'm pretty sure everyone would prefer the bloodshed and tens of thousands of lives lost to end if that were possible. Ukraine has much less of a reason to try to make peace when they are being given billions of dollars in funding though, which is just dragging out the carnage.

Lol yeah, Ukraine totally loves being invaded and its people killed because..... defense contracts and the bloodshed can end if Russia pulls the fuck out or better still never fucking invaded, to begin with, And peace at any cost is no peace...

Also, Ukraine can win and is winning by every metric so why the fuck should they stop fighting ?  .....

I don't want Putin, the Taliban, Al Qaeda, Kim Jong Un, or the Supreme Leader of Iran to be successful. I just don't want to be the world police who try to rule the entire planet. You have American politicians and political commentators who are even calling for a no-fly zone in Ukraine, which would literally mean directly attacking Russia militarily. We need to check ourselves.

No fly zones so Russia can't continue to bomb cities to rubble is sane and could save thousands. We don't need to check ourselves Russia needs to stop being a dick. Also if there is no international law and no one to enforce it ....Well we have seen where that leads.

I think Zelenskyy has an inflated ego and if the US is handing over billions of dollars in weapons time after time, that kind of takes away a lot of the incentive to make peace. It's not that Ukrainians love dying or whatever.

You'll usually hear scientists speculate about whether most civilizations end up leading to their own demise with technology/ weapons of mass destruction. This is not something to take lightly, and you're basically endorsing WWIII by calling for a no-fly zone, whether you see it that way or intend that or not. You carry on this risky behaviour for hundreds of years in the future, and eventually the shit is going to hit the fan and the nukes will start flying. Eventually we are going to run into the wrong dictator who really is crazy enough to go all out. You play with fire long enough, you get burned.

We have no reason to believe Putin is going to start invading everywhere. That's pure speculation on your part and you don't really have much to back it up.
