You think zelinsky is a greater threat to ukraine..then... than the man who's been invading ukraine for nearly a decade?  Make this make sense IA.  0/10 for effort.

Zelensky is a greater threat to the world than Al Qaeda or ISIS. That was my point. Zelensky wants WWIII. He wants more US weapons and he wishes to blow things up inside of Russia itself. This has been reported and is common knowledge. Putin doesn't want WWIII either. Only Zelenski.

AQ..that did manage to bring down a building and kill some folks? ISIS, that carved up a warzone before imploding? There are certainly differences between what either men want, but none of them would land Vlad on the safer set in comparison..for anyone. Not even russians, apparently. I think it actually is amazing that ukraine shows any restraint whatsoever about targets in russia. We certainly wouldn't accept conditions like that...not when we're the invading force, and certainly not if we were the defending force, as ukraines is.

I do wonder, in your mind, how this is acheived. Practically. How is it that the thing the president of ukraine really wants to do simply never happens? Do his generals plot behind his back to stop it. Do they aggressively investigate their rank and file rooting out anyone who might carry out their presidents wish? Such that he's both the most dangerous man on the planet - or whatever..and a doddering puppet?

Yes, AQ and Isil in particular are being brought up because those are other problematic people you've used to be your proxy army on the ground to try to achieve your geo-political goals. The death toll of 9/11 is nothing compared to the death toll America brought upon the middle east, and I think of 9/11 as a bee sting in comparison, as do you, so let's not pretend. Yes, brown terrorists kill people, and you'd be arguing to build up their infrastructure and arms if this was back in the day and they were fighting the USSR, so let's not pretend about that either.

Iraq was better off with Saddam. Afghanistan better of with the Taliban. And good on the Taliban taking down big AQ leaders now. Props to them for that. Thanks.

Ukraines been fighting for far longer than we've been supporting that fight. Shameful but true. So..yes, lets not pretend. Ukraine would fight, and has fought, with us and without us. I think russia should build up their infrastructure and arms right now. Sure beats wasting themselves in ukraine. It's not often that the interests of three parties in a proxy conflict are fully aligned...but hey, we're down the rabbithole, right?

We'll just have to disagree on whether anyone was ever better off with saddam or the taliban, lol. Offing a few folks doesn't actually move that needle in that direction for me.
