Click on the ‘Donors’ section. Scroll down to ‘United States’. Read through the list and learn how much military aid was delivered to Ukraine in the first three months of the war. Then, expand your myopic horizons and learn what US military assets were in place before the war started.

Mr. Gates is as far off on this as you are.

He's right about the F-16s, Bri. They should have been sent last year.

The rest of his boilerplate is, well, just that.

No argument - I was focusing on his ‘F-16s and the rest’.

What about ATACMS? Leopard Tanks? They too should have been sent last year and been operational by now. Biden, Macron, Scholz et al were too slow.

Here's some info on the Budapest Memorandum: "The Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances comprises three substantially identical political agreements signed at the OSCE conference in Budapest, Hungary, on 5 December 1994, to provide security assurances by its signatories relating to the accession of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). The three memoranda were originally signed by three nuclear powers: the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom and the United States.[1] China and France gave somewhat weaker individual assurances in separate documents.[2]

The memoranda, signed in Patria Hall at the Budapest Convention Center with US Ambassador Donald M. Blinken amongst others in attendance,[3] prohibited the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom and the United States from threatening or using military force or economic coercion against Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, "except in self-defence or otherwise in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations." As a result of other agreements and the memorandum, between 1993 and 1996, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine gave up their nuclear weapons.[4][5]" (Wiki)

(1) Russia violated this Memorandum by invading, of course; and (2) the US and UK, which made Ukraine give up its Nuclear Weapons - to Russia - were bound to guarantee Ukraine's security in the event of an invasion, per this Memorandum. Good that they've sent some weapons, but it's been much too slow imo.

Maybe stop focusing on what wasn’t sent and look at what was, you ill-informed wretch.

Considering all the weapons they have sent. I would quit my complaining.

Only two ways it ends. Either prigo successfully mounts a soft coup and takes putin for a palace prisoner - or prigo ends up swinging off a rope from a balcony. I think they'd have already killed him if they could...but they can't. His army is the only russian army worth a shit, and they must feel like idiots for giving him decent equipment and starving the regulars...but how else did they see that going, really?

In related news, russia is using thermobarics in russia on russians.

As long as they keep killing each other, while still appalling, I'll cheer them on. As long as some radical group doesn't get to the nukes & codes.

They nearly did a month ago. It was reported that the last warhead in storage in the incursion area was finally loaded up and shipped out just a few minutes before the base was overrun. -as in, if they'd waited for a pizza....

Russia is a failed state.

Swinging from a rope? That's hardly Russia's style. They prefer to use poisons.

And if you're talking about the more recent killings, even if they tried hanging, it'd be a fake suicide with just enough plausible deniability.

And given that Prigo's actively waging war on Putin, I suspect Novichok's more likely in his future.
