teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Just casting about for some absurd reason to blame ukraine for tanking the peace process they refuse to entertain. It's another one of those constraints as russia sees them. They can't mass mobilize, and they can't be seen as the recalcitrant aggressor they are.

No, that's certainly not a reason to support Russia.
Can you provide a positive reason to attack noncombatant civilians in support of this invasion? Is there any complaint Russia has that you can cite that would justify their atrocities at Bucha and elsewhere?
