I dunno Thump. Bel just might.

Bet he'd only do it once, though. Big Grin

I'm not justifying any of those things. The accusation is absurd.

Tell us Bel, when Putin comes for your country, how much of it should we give him to ensure our peace? He has the Kurils as it is. Maybe he'd like Hokkaido too.

Quote:Vladimir Putin’s internet blackout is now “unprecedented in both scale and technical sophistication.” The crackdown has been “sustained and systemic, combining nationwide blackouts, selective service throttling, and targeted protocol interference.”

That’s the warning in a new report into “the Cost of Internet Shutdowns in 2025,” which found that Putin’s strategy had “pushed Russia to the top of the Cost By Country table, accounting for more than half of the total global economic impact recorded in 2025.”

In U.S. dollar terms, that “cost” is a staggering $11.9 billion hit to the Russian economy. To put that into perspective, Venezuela is second-placed, taking a much more modest $1.91 billion hit to its already ravaged economy.

Really? Here's you using Russian talking points to justify the smash'n'grab: https://atheistforums.org/thread-63759-p...pid2122621

Here's you quoting a Russian shill at length: https://atheistforums.org/thread-63759-p...pid2121870

... and so on.

Without power or without you? Without you.

Meanwhile, in Russia. Ukraines nightly bombing and sabotage campaign continues to wreck Russian infrastructure from the border front to the pacific coast, as the us seizes one shadow fleet tanker after another. No honor amongst thieves, I guess.

The daily cost in Russian lives remains at or above 1k on average. Putin remains a master strategist.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

The Russian death toll puts me in mind of the cockroach general in the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers' apartment. Fat Freddy's cat kills a whole bunch. When told, the general simply says, "There's a lot more where those came from". Just sub in Putin and those poor bastards at the front.

The trouble for Putin…is that there aren’t. Russia isn’t the Soviet Union to begin with, and it had been going through demographic decline for some time before the invasion even started.

Oh, I know that. It's just the attitude.

Seeing as how Russia can’t keep the electricity, heating, or fuel on in the face of the Ukrainian onslaught, does this mean that Russia should accept the inevitable Ukrainian victory and concede the western slice of its territory to Kiev?

Bel:

- You cannot tell foreign countries to demilitarize (you cannot). But you can demilitarize yourself if you want. That would solve many issues in deed Smile

GrandNudger:

- And this is deplorable. If we suppose he decides to carry on for another 5 years, what’s in it for him?

Bel2:

- Yes. No one can do anything if the Kremlin doesn’t agree. But if I was Putin, I would take this deal. Trump will not punish Russia for this war. But after 2028 (when Trump is gone) there may be much more severe terms to which Russia will simply have to agree.
