And that's forming your army. We have not even touched on the complex logistics of maintaining a fighting force sizable enough to challenge the United States Military on home soil and able to make full use of America's surveillance and intelligence apparatus. Federal government is funded by American taxpayers. In case of insurrection it will lose its revenue and won't be able to do anything.
It's soldiers not insurrectionists that need banks and ATMs which don't work when power lines are destroyed.
