It's basically my new obsession and I'm getting there slowly but steadily, but I do wish I wasn't so prone to injury. So yeah, that's me really... and here on AF not posting as much as I used to, just mainly lurking... how about you, how are you doing? I'm glad from the other thread that you're in a good place right now
Oh that’s exciting! Being prone to injury is no fun but I’m glad you’re sticking with it. Getting healthier is awesome. I really am in a great place. I’m happy, fairly healthy considering, kids are great (my 12 year old is a full inch taller than me what the heck), relationship stable and fulfilling…life is good.
Yeah, another thing my sister put me onto is this thing called zone 2 or base training, which is what I'm trying to do. It's basically high volume low intensity training, which I think is ideal for me with my fragility... less likely to injure myself or overdo it with that than anything else. You just have to maintain a lowish heart rate over a long period, which this watch is perfect for monitoring... so in my case over long walks - aiming for a ninety minute zone 2 walk every other day, and I certainly feel a lot fitter and the watch concurs and thinks I'm quite fit too, surprisingly, so yeah, slowly but surely getting there
Great to hear you and your family are doing so well
