Yes, digging myself deeper by showing that my position is dependent on the facts and I'm willing to change my mind based on facts. That's so much worse than your logic of "he had to resist because they might have cuffed him then drove him off into the middle of nowhere to kill him." I'm guessing that's what the officer was afraid of. People wouldn't be questioning this is there was no weapon involved. The suspect having a weapon in his hand can't just be dismissed. Was the officer being reasonable in fearing that weapon could cause him to get stunned and cause the suspect to steal his gun? That is what is relevant here. Did the officer have the man completely in control before he went for his gun? I couldn't see that because the camera is off of them until a couple seconds before the gun goes off. Once the camera pans over to them, the officer is getting lifted into the air as he goes for his gun.

I got stopped by a cop the other day. He asked for my license, insurance, registration etc. I handed it to him. I didn't run or fight with him though. Oddly enough I didn't end up getting shot. In fact I've been stopped by the police numerous times and it always plays out like that, I never seem to get shot.

This sounds like those people who say "well wear a mask during Covid and took public transportation every day therefore covid is a giant hoax" Just because it doesn't happen to you means nothing.
