We cannot get our morality from evolution because evolution does not care about how we treat others. Also, it makes no sense that we have instincts therefore it makes more sense that God wanted us to have instincts. Evolution only starts with life, which makes no sense, it should show how inanimate matter turns into life as well. Also, if evolution has all this power then where does evolution come from?

1. Who gets their morality from a scientific theory? And God doesn't explain anything ever.
2. Abiogenesis and Evolution are two separate theories so evolution doesn't have to explain how life got here only what happens after it starts 3. WTF does it mean to say evolution has power? what kind of nonsense is that?

Also, is intelligence not a consequence of evolution? So I'm pretty sure that it does not make sense that life evolves only after it starts. Wouldn't it make more sense that it evolved from non-life? The "power" comes from the statement regarding instincts that you did not respond to. But it's far more than just instincts, but we can at least start with that. Evolution appears to have tremendous power, otherwise how is it possible that life is preprogrammed with instincts? Even the most simple organism such as single-celled, still has a ton of instructions to follow and is more complicated than any computer. Also, if life exists on earth then it exists in the universe and it must have been a possibility before the universe even began and whether or not a universe even exists. This means that life must also be possible when there is only inanimate matter, and therefore life must have some sort of power, at the very least, the power of possibility. 1. Morality is a human construct through its strongly founded on pro-social instincts and traits and yes intelligence is an evolutionary trait. But the way you were phrasing it in your original comment you made it sound as though evolution was some form of prescriptive doctrine. Which it is not.
2. Abiogenesis is a separate process from evolution so yes it makes perfect sense. 3. Evolution has nothing to do with the origins of the universe or life and complexity is simply the gradual development of life from simpler forms. Evolution is some form of god it's simply population mechanics, And cells don't have instructions it's merely chemistry and it's complex because it's had billions of years to develop and countless failed attempts.

Humans evolved as a social species.
Morality evolved from protecting the family unit/the group/the tribe. If you think morality comes from the Abrahamic deity, I suggest reading the bible again and more thoroughly. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???" |
