Nonsense. They don't 'wake up' in another world - they have always existed in that other world (precisely the same way that Schrodinger's cat is always alive and always dead). And the probability of them being paralyzed is exactly the same as them not being paralyzed.

You continue to convince me that you don't understand QI at all.

To me it seems like you do not understand Quantum Immortality. While a person is being euthanised, countless new worlds are being created. In the vast majority of those new worlds, that person is dead because euthanasia succeeded. In some of those new worlds, however, euthanasia has not succeeded. The euthanised person will wake up in one of those worlds... probably with a severely damaged brain.

You have it backwards. When a change occurs, all the potentialities disappear.

I'm grateful that I don't understand what is being discussed. I'm much less likely to hurt myself with an overly exuberant face palming.

Thank goodness, I thought I was only one.

What is it that you don't understand?

Think of the waveform as the set of all potentialities. When that waveform collapses, all of those potentialities become a single actuality.

I defer to you on the topic of severely damaged brains.

But if MWI is true, then waveform collapse is a subjective phenomenon. Once we observe the particle, we say the waveform has collapsed, but what has actually happened is that now we know which of the parallel worlds we are in.

All phenomena are subjective, the truth or falsity of MWI notwithstanding.
