It may be a simple problem regarding the viscosity of the shit in his skull.
Well that's not very nice.

Real shit would eventually dry out. What’s in his skull seems to stay running forever.

You can be an agnostic atheist (don't know, don't believe) or an agnostic theist (don't know, believe anyway). Most agnostic atheists, IMHO, are just acknowedging that they can't prove no god exists. Neither agnostic atheists nor agnostic theists assume the burdern of proof.
The god of deism is no married bachelor, for instance, the only thing it has going against it is there's no good reason to think it's real.
You can be certain a particular god doesn't exist and still be an agnostic atheist. I think the Abrahamic God as described in scritpures IS a married bachelor, it's supposed to have done things that didn't actually happen and I think has contradictory attributes, like any tri-omni version of God. I'm a 'gnostic atheist' towards that particular version of God.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

What are the particles that make a soul, and what are the particles that mediate interactions between those particles and the particles that make a body. The Standard Model is filling up fast.
Some things are yet not to be discovered. For example, when the gravitational field and Newton's laws were discovered, electromagnetic waves had not yet been discovered.
Perhaps the soul is a biological wave that in the future, if electronic circuits are made of protein, lipid, and carbon hydrate, we will be able to observe biological waves.
Perhaps the soul is a biowave.
Maybe there is no soul at all and human is destroyed after death.

How did the soul, if it exists, come to be?

The god of deism and the fairy at the bottom of the well are on completely equivalent terms. There's both no good reason to believe in them, and a loooooooong laundry list of reasons not to. They simply aren't logically impossible. Very few things are.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I have a yard for that.

It really isn't rational, the people who take UU seriously belive in some crazy shit. And you don't?
The whole point of UU is that people are free to honestly explore their own answers to ultimate questions. Few "seriously believe" anything, because questioning truth is something they value. The UU church is about providing community, in the midst of a world without any firm religious answers.
I'm a UU, and I don't think I've been posting bat-shit-crazy recently. If I have, please let me know, and I'll change it to moderately-crazy

Are open atheists welcome in the UU community? I assume so, but, it's probably good to ask in advance.
