My only dying flicker of optimism resides in the sole concept that we should never accept something as is, and too many people are entirely too accepting of the worst aspects of our world considered beyond our control. Yet those in actual control have no issue ensuring these things keep happening as is.

No argument from me there, but so too..it would seem to me, would abandoning ukraine be proof our priorities were messed up.  Whether we take a high view focused on human life or the most cynical road based on cost, benefit, and power.

During the Rwandan Genocide, the United States government had no military response; some 800,000 human beings were viciously murdered as our government stood by & watched.
