If it was all some falsehood, I wouldn't be able to be receiving (daily spiritual bread) from Him, there would not be any relationship there.  So it would just sort of end at His words - and I would have no experience/relationship ongoing.

The Gospels were not written by any eyewitnesses to Jesus' life, certainly, not by his disciples, none of whom could write.

No there was some passing by word of mouth - and perhaps an early "Q" gospel as some scholars have intimated.  His true words survived for me to be struck by them - to the point that I know what He represents and can have a personal relationship with Him.  The truth is the truth and is impactful no matter who conveys.

As a former believer, I find what you are saying to be completely unconvincing, and, to be honest, a bit disturbing. However, this is not a mental health forum and I am not a licensed therapist or psychologist, and so, we must leave things here.

In the big scheme of things, could we agree on a how to live one's life that would include a code of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, kindness?  Is that so disturbing to seek to live by?

It's extremely odd to find someone who is not willing, at least hypothetically, to abide by such principles.

Well you see then, hypothetically we can agree on principles.   Clap

Some principles, certainly. As for Jesus of Nazareth, our differences appear to be irreconcilable.

If you want to elaborate on that I am curious and if not that's ok too

If you want to do a thread split, I am okay with that.

I want you to follow the rules in a thread you created. Why on earth would I go to the trouble of splitting the thread, just to see you derail that one as well?

I don’t give a wet fart WHAT you’re ‘ok with’.
