No, you can't. You could lose your job if you consistently do it after being corrected or keep doing it for the purpose of causing psychological distress or as a form of harassment. But firing someone for merely misgendering someone would be a wrongful dismal.

I'd want to be careful here of the "naturalistic fallacy" -- "it's natural therefore it's good." That can be tricky.

1) Show me where it says that. I'm not even saying it doesn't say that (though I suspect that if they do say using the wrong pronouns is a firing offense, it's only if it's done intentionally and/or for the purpose of hurting the person in question), but I couldn't find any information on said program (which I hadn't even heard of before you mentioned it) saying so.

2) Like I and AWTY said, group showering among 8-year-olds is not really a thing in the US. And are you assuming that the sexuality of transwomen is inherently predatory because they were assigned as male at birth? Because that's really the only reason to be this concerned specifically about transwomen invading women's spaces to abuse women. If that's their parents' concern, then they're wrong because I've looked at a lot of cases that are claimed to be examples of transwomen invading women's spaces, and I can count the cases where the perp even actually played the gender identity card on my fingers. And the majority of those offenders already had a prior record for sex offenses.

When I was in basic training we were in old WWII barracks and that was my first and only experience with gang showers. Since we, in the platoon, were all bio women I didn't see a single penis. 'Course the water was so damn cold I might not have noticed if there was one somewhere.

Would you be content with losing your job for misgendering someone?  If you had an eight-year-old daughter, would you be fine with her having to shower next to someone with a penis?  I wish we lived in a society where these things did not affect us, but they do.

Accidentally misgendering someone is one thing.  Continuing to do it to be an ass is disrespectful and should come with some sort of HR action.

As for gang showers and eight year olds...I don't know what you are babbling about but in my life, my daughters' lives, and my granddaughters' lives, that's not even a thing.

Well, you should get more informed rather than appealing to your own experiences.  There have been numerous cases of little girls being exposed to penises in womens' locker rooms across the US.  I'll stand up for the children even if you won't.
