It's the same as any other (purportedly) legendary character from our deeply mythological religions. Do we mean the guy from the magic book, or do we mean some other guy we know nothing about that the character was loosely based on or attributed to? If we mean the latter, are we really arguing with the premise that big mo (or jesus, or buddha, or whomever) never existed?

He has legitimate reasons for questioning what he does.
If you're going to take him on, you're going to have to specifically challenge his specific historical arguments.
"Anti-Islamic" is actually irrelevant, just as Pro-Islam is irrelevant . The ONLY thing relevant is whether his history is correct or not.
