Looked old enough to be Tanya Roberts' granddaddy in A View to a Kill.

I never liked Moore.
At least Lazenby had Dinna Rigg and the Alps to distract from everything else.
I didn't mind him. I skied once up at the Piz Gloria. It was spectacular.

All the more reason the next Bond should be gay.

A fellow who dresses that well nowadays is presumed to be gay anyway.

Taylor Swift’s new Voter Registration post results in record-breaking registration numbers.

During National Voting Day, the pop superstar shared a message on Instagram urging her 272 million followers to register to vote.

The results were astounding.

After Swift’s message, 157,041 eligible voters visited the registration site, marking the largest National Voter Registration Day since 2020.

There was also a 72% increase in 18-year-old registrations compared to 2019 and a 115% increase in that age range compared to 2022.

This isn’t the first time Swift has reminded her fans of the importance of voting. A post on July also led to record breaking registrations.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Roughly 4 million US 17-year olds will be old enough to vote in the 2024 election. I hope Ms. Swift can convince them to do so.

Liberals who don’t vote elect conservatives.

Dalton was even worse. There’s a thread here (someplace) where members rank their favorite Bonds. I was amazed at the number of people who didn’t put Daniel Craig in the top spot.

The trouble with Daniel Craig is he is good, and being good, he is not Bond.

Dalton also bordered on being too good to be bond.

A certain seedy self-indulgence and low rent, in-joke, smarminess is implied in “Ian Fleming’s………”

In this way, Pierce Brosnan, Roger Moore, and Sean Connery were all naturally bad, and being bad, were good Bonds.

Which Bond actor should play the part of the chump in any of the coming movies about what an action hero he is?

(Bold mine)

That’s Moore’s doing. As far as faithfulness to the original stories, Craig is the most Bond-like Bond to date.
