Then most of the people who wish they could vote for someone else will vote for Biden, and Biden will win.
We absolutely can't be complacent or fail to get out the vote, but for my money, that's how it will play out.

Yeah, it really is about turnout. While Biden's centrism and age may not inspire Democrats to vote, the numerous Republican moves at the state level about abortion, racial gerrymandering, and so on, will more than counterbalance that, I think.

Biden won by 8 million votes in 2020. No one who didn't vote for Trump then is going to vote for him now.
Whatever is screwy with polling processes, remains so now.
Whether Trump keels over from an MI or dementia, it's going to happen sooner than later.
Watch his rally at Hialeah last week. He's obviously worsening, whatever it is.

No way. Trump thinks that Obama is the President
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Far worse that thinking Obama is president, he thinks being feared is better than being respected.

i think even he is perceptive enough to know he can never be respected.
at the same time, playing up the fear side plays well with an electorate who inwardly know they don’t deserve to be respected.

Vivek Ramaswamy has unveiled his new plan to cut government spending, a plan which proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he is an economic mastermind deserving of a Nobel prize: if a federal employee's Social Security number ends in an odd digit, they'll be fired immediately.
Fucking genius.

Absolutely NOTHING happens immediately with the US government.

The immediacy of the plan isn’t really the issue. Even if the president had the power to summarily fire federal employees without cause (he doesn’t), candidate Ramaslamadingdong doesn’t seem to grasp that even announcing his intention to do so is going to cost him - minimally - several million votes.
