The margin in the 2022 house race was razor thin and flipped to a conservative Democrat. Someone in the area has been tampering with signs. The GOP signs are unmolested.
I'm not going to jump to conclusions about who's responsible, whoever it is needs to be held accountable.

Someone set a mailbox ablaze here in Phoenix. There were many ballots damaged. They got the bastard but he insists the ballots were not his motivation. I guess setting fire to a mailbox was just on his bucket list or something.

For what it's worth, when I sent off my ballot, I used a normal mailbox. If anyone else hasn't sent their votes out, I'd recommend using this method. Hopefully, this will be a bit less vulnerable to right-wing terrorism.
We drop ours off at the county election office and have since 2020. I don't know if it's a thing universally, but I know in Washington and Arizona that you can check your ballot status online.

I live in Cook County, so that would probably be in the Loop, and I live in a North Shore suburb, so that's probably not too practical. Especially if I don't want my car to end like this:
For what it's worth, I got an email confirming that they got my ballot.

Indeed, I did this when I learned about the Phoenix mailbox fire. I knew my ballot wasn't in that box but I checked out of curiosity. My ballot has been received, my signature verified and my votes tallied. Very tidy, convenient and efficient - exactly how it should be in the age of the internet.

A friend in AZ used the system in 2020 and learned someone voted using his ballot - turns out it was his mother.
We used it this year and learned that my wife's ballot had a signature mismatch and needed to be cured. Good thing we found out, we're traveling abroad next week and we want our votes to count.

George W. Bush's daughter Barbara campaigns for Harris
Barbara Bush, former President George W. Bush's daughter, hit the campaign trail in the critical swing state of Pennsylvania for Vice President Kamala Harris.
Bush told People it was "inspiring to join friends" in campaigning for Harris and her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz, adding, "I'm hopeful they'll move our country forward and protect women's rights."
She joins Susan Ford Bales, late former President Gerald Ford's daughter, in backing the Democratic ticket.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Judge Luttig drops the hammer.
"Yet, to this very day, the former president; his running mate, Senator JD Vance; and much of the Republican Party persist in the fraudulent claim that the 2020 election was stolen from them, and in breathtaking defiance of American democracy and the Constitution, that they can be trusted to ensure a peaceful transfer of power only if Donald Trump wins. That is not democracy and the rule of law. It is autocracy and lawlessness. Respect for the electoral will of the American people and for the peaceful transfer of power are central tenets of our constitutional self-government. Without unhesitating adherence to those fundamental tenets of our Republic by every person who assumes the presidency, America would have neither democracy nor rule by law. Its Constitution would be meaningless words, not magisterial commands. Its greatest strengths would be its terminal weaknesses."
