In my area (located in Victoria, Australia), they occasionally have this group meeting called "The Planet Shakers" and it is used to recruit stupid teenagers who can't think for themselves into Christianity by using extremely loud music, food and lights. It's held in my school at least once a fortnight.
Heck, they even tried to lure me in the building by using food, who do they think I am? A bum?
The funny thing is, there are THREE churches very close to each other in my suburb. I don't get why they need three though since they are for Christians. Competition for money?

Actually, if he is keeping out of sight, it's because he's ashamed of his followers and all the cruelty and ignorance they're responsible for promoting in his name. If I were him, I'd want nothing to do with them."

I don't know if you could say we're winning Ace, but I definitely think that we're making a slow stride towards enlightening the world -- or at least a small portion of it.
I think rev.Jer has a good point about smiling and coming off pleasant. Getting angry and acting belligerent is exactly what christians do and I personally think the best thing to show them is a kind, rational, well-educated mind that wants nothing but to show them the light. (which is ironic, since that is exactly what they believe they are trying to show us)
To answer the original question: My battles with christians these days are limited to my own friends and family and are usually pretty mild and over a couple beers.

They won't leave me alone since I told them I were an atheist.

They're called Sillysong (Hillsong) in NSW.... bumfuckIdontknowbutthemusicsgood?? in WA
It is NOT a case of winning or loosing as far as atheists are concerned......The desperation of fringe cults that purport to be "monotheistic" and are not is what is so totally amusing.
We are currently in the process of moving to a very 'New' area and are anticipating (with salivatory deliciousness) the arbitrary JW, SillySong, Cataholic, I-slam, Judg-aic, Baal-iptius, nonsense that will come knocking at our door.
These cults prey on the weak and vulnerable and as such are the scum, dregs of religious righteousness in my book.
They are no better than any other FAD Cult on the planet at the moment

The Jehova's or the managers of Noah's ark (Traveling museum, note) are by far the most energetic around here. They are also very wrong, so it's entertanining to talk to them.
I spoke to a guy who I think was a Jehova. I was new to it, and it was a perfectly civil conversation if you ask me. I told him I was not convinced though, especially not regarding evolution. So he handed me a booklet that was mostly anti evolution. I read it. When he came back, I tried to explain which mistakes were all in the book. (I'm no biologist, but I'm interested.) I didn't tell him much, just some bits about the evolution of the horse and the different intermediate stages. (The creation books claim there is no evidence for the evolution of the horse so that is hilarious.)
He left quickly, and he never came back.
Bet on the right horse, is my suggestion.

Well...first I'd panic a little, then I'd make sure I don't look a mess, chuck on some deodorant and welcome you in with a huge smile. Plus hoping for a delightful hug.

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
