If it wasn't for Israel's security, the USA would not find a reason to snoop in the Middle East.

If it wasn't for "protecting the poor Jews of Israel from the crazy Muslims", all modern crusades waged against the Middle East would be pointless.
Israel is the scapegoat of capitalist vampires to suck the blood of the Middle East.

Protecting "Israel" is the justification for all evil commit by Western powers, especially the U.S.

Smart Jews know it. That's why smart jews despise Israel.
Others are evil, they know it, but enjoy it.

And the fact that the rest of the Middle East has oil, a major energy source that the American establishment has no interest in weaning itself off of even as its supply is starting to dwindle, has nothing to do with it?

Of course it does. Actually, the wealth of the region is keeping the U.S army finding justifications to remain in it.
If it wasn't for oil, the U.S wouldn't bother; or like Afghanistan it will withdraw after a mere generation or two since the invasion.

Israel is used by capitalists to get revenue, the moment the revenue ends the support also ends; Great Britain knew that it's a costly burden after WW2, so the U,S pushed in to take Britain's place; thinking that it inherited the throne of Great Britain and took its past empire; afterall the two superpowers were always fighting over dominance. Right now it became clear that the times changed; and the age of Israel is just..gone.

You must not know that the US is the world's biggest producer of oil, and what oil we do get from the Middle East we get by, you know, actually paying for it with money, not hijacking it with aircraft carriers.

Good thing the evil ones aren't the smart ones, or you'd really be in trouble.

Evil humans have an issue: i.e "greed".
They are greedy.

Greedy people shoot themselves in the foot over time.

For example, Israel.
They could've avoid all this war if they treated Palestinians fairly.

Greed led them to the psychological "superiority" complex; but any person with amateur psychology knowledge knows that superiority complex must hide a hidden "inferiority complex".

They feel scared, weak, don't belong, so they rob lands, carve the Star of David on Muslims:

And believe me, once humans are that psychologically messed up, they begin to make terrible mistakes, like massacres, mass killings, and more fuel to the hate against them.

All because a little politician became greedy, and wanted to rob people.

Yeah, there's a German chick who attended a music festival in a kibbutz when this broke out.  You've seen the video.  War's a bitch, ain't it?

So, Israel is simultaneously a costly burden AND something that the West only supports because they can use it to make money?

Yes.
The moment Israel costs the American treasury without a revenue to be expected, the support is gone.
American government and morals don't mix.

You must be joking.  Israel is the only claim Evangelical Christians have on Jeebus.  The scriptures don't mention 'Murica at all.

You're trying to say that there is a "religious cause" behind the unconditional support?

Unconditional?  Most Jews in the US are in the Democratic Party and hate Netanyahu's guts.

I think the unconditional support is more from Republicans, who tend to be more Christians more interested in Israel as a vehicle for fulfilling (their idea of) Biblical prophecies, (specifically they think that the continued existence of the State of Israel is a necessary prerequisite for the Second Coming of Christ) than actually helping the Jewish people.
