Heh, I wish. They do what they want half the time.

Their house, their rules. I don't understand the comment. You agree to the terms of service. You buy the ticket and take the ride.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
The problem is that with most (if not ALL) major platforms and software, you're not really given freedom like you should be. YouTube takes this to an absolute extreme, and doesn't even let you block out ads. The people who use adblockers are a fraction of the YouTube community, and they should have the freedom to do so. And with the state that YouTube is in with its corrupt moderation, I'd say they're lucky that people don't move to other platforms. Am I myself going to move to another platform? No, but I don't blame people who do.

If I was doing something such as uploading a certain kind of content to the platform and they took it down, I would completely understand. However, what I am doing is none of YouTube's business. Also, "You don’t get to dictate the rules on someone else’s playground." I'm not dictating any rules, I'm criticizing them.(November 21, 2023 at 6:51 pm)Varium Wrote: The problem is that with most (if not ALL) major platforms and software, you're not really given freedom like you should be.
