[split] Are Questions About God Important?
RE: [split] Are Questions About God Important?
Hardening hearts is what people want?

RE: [split] Are Questions About God Important?
Like, if they didn't want their hearts hardened, god was gonna say "Oh shit, true? That fucks up all my plans for these people but I respect that - Moses..Moses, shut it all down. It's not happening.".
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

In a way, it is. There are natural consequences for not believing in God. There are consequences for believing in Him, too. But I would say the former consequences are of a more severe nature than the latter.

It's less that they don't want it, as it is that they simply don't mind it, since they don't care about God anyway.

You really mean it’s what god wants. Including making nonbelievers.

No one can do anything god doesn’t want you to do, right? Including believing

It's less that the stupid thing you said is something you think?  I'm absolutely shocked. A first in thread, completely unprecedented.

So let me get this straight.
If you want to believe in something, you can just turn that on and off.
And your reason for that is what entails with it, the best "natural consequence" for yourself.
You do get that is Utilitarianism, right, (assumimg you graduated from Grade School).
Every religion is true one way or another. It is true when understood metaphorically. But when it gets stuck in its own metaphors, interpreting them as facts, then you are in trouble. - Joseph Campbell  Popcorn
