only about 1.6% of human history is recorded.
Currently, the Garden of Eden is at the bottom of the Persian Gulf.  Genesis 2 describes four known rivers flowing out from named locations—in the mountains of Arabia and the mountains surrounding Mesopotamia—and meeting together in the Garden of Eden

The only time these rivers can join together on dry land is when most of the Persian Gulf is dry. The drying up of most of the Persian Gulf requires that Earth be in an ice age.

Fair enough - a long-standing tradition of ignorance. Smile

(March 12, 2024 at 10:50 am)MFrancis Wrote: A generic question. How long does the population of humanity take to increase from 2 (or more than 2) to the current 8 billion (give or take)?

Population Doubling Time is a well known concept. It takes around 200 to 300 years at most for a population to double. But if that is true, since 2^10=1024=1000 (approx.), then it takes only 2000 to 3000 years for a population to increase by a factor of 1000. Next, since the population is only in the billions and not the trillions, there have been only 3 such increases [(10^3)^3] in all of human history. But that leads to a far younger date for the origin of the first human couple (or couples) than most evolution-supporting Atheists would agree with. Stated differently, if humanity began around 100,000 B.C. but yet doubled around 200 to 300 years, and increased by 1000 every 3000 years or so, the population would be >10^30, i.e. Millions of Trillions of Trillions, not just 8 BN. How do we resolve this dilemma/paradox, from within the evolutionary paradigm?

Thoughts and comments welcome.
Humanity was never just two and and humanity suffered population reductions nor did humanity grow at a perfectly consistent rate. Congrates you have proven your are a moron.

If you haven't already do some reading on The Toba Eruption.

There's no tradition of genesis being about some ice age settlement at the bottom of the sea. None.

-and why would there be? Neither the authors of genesis nor anyone in between ever had a clue about anything like that. Only people who would know better would know about that. People say all sorts of weird things because there's a tradition of saying them...but that one is not one of those things. We're dealing with something altogether weirder than tradition when we see stuff like that.

Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. ^I meant ‘tradition’ in the sense that Christians traditionally make demonstrably incorrect statements that undermine their religion.

Seems undeniable.

The garden of Eden doesn't exist. It is a corruption of the Bablyonian/Persian of idea of parādaiĵah where their heaven equivalent was considered the perfect garden.
