Tradition?

Well, christianity has an 1,800 year history of trying to accept obviously wrong things. So that checks out.

The only time these rivers can join together on dry land is when most of the Persian Gulf is dry. The drying up of most of the Persian Gulf requires that Earth be in an ice age.

The article on your link doesn't mention the garden of Eden.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

It's a hell of a stretch from that article to the Gardem of Eden.

Then again, it's no stretch at all for christers to twist science to fit their narrative.

A map with Euphrates and Tigris rivers where someone added with a sharpie the mythical river of Pishon.

What else to say but LoL

Josephus identified the Pishon with the Ganges. If he was right, that's gonna more than a little problematic for Snow's theory.

It is certainly is possible that people were living around the Persian Gulf, during the ice age period, when water levels are said to be 60 to 100 m lower (at least I think that is what is said).

Problem 1:
But this has nothing to do with the 4 rivers mentioned in the tanakh.

Problem 2:
The ice age was a very long time ago and like I said, humans did not pass along boring facts. Humans from 5000 BCE would not know anything about humans nor the environment of 10,000 BCE. They are not interested in geography or geology, not interested in how long a river is, where it starts and where it ends. They would know things like where is the best place to fish, what type of fish are available, what kind of plants can be used and where to find them.

Problem 3:
The idea is that a single river (A nameless river) flows from the tree of life and splits into 4 rivers with names.
Tigris and Euphrates merge so this doesn't match up with the jewish mythology.
The 2 other rivers are unknown. Your picture is made up who-eeeey.

I would say around 7000 years. The bible point of view. We would be way more advanced if we were millions of years old and we went through evolution.
