Nah, too Hindu-y.

One’s got nothing to do with the other. Sin is a willful act. According to doctrine, infants and very young children cannot make a conscious decision to deny God or break his rulz, so there’s no reason for them not to be in Heaven.

I suspect the reason they came up with this was to appear slightly less monstrous. Didn’t work.

Can it be ruled out with yahweh omniscience it would know, if you were to live a full life, that you would have sinned enough for a hell sentence and therefore still send a dead babies soul to hell?

Example; if Hitler died at birth would he still go to heaven?

They did!  Origen appears to have believed that reincarnation made perfect sense, and that souls were guided to bodies based on past deeds, the souls past extending to the very beginning of creation.   Justinian appears to have been the guy who shitcanned this one, at the prompting of his wife, or so the story goes.  Collateral damage in a political claim to the eastern church.

Christian sects such as the Bogomils and the Cathars, professed reincarnation and other gnostic beliefs. This had been declared heretical since 553 A.D. by the church because it was believed to contradict the doctrine of "corporeal resurrection" and undermine the need for Christ's "redemptive sacrifices".

Not altogether surprisingly the Albigensian Crusade was launched against them by Pope Innocent III.

RE: Do Babies go to Heaven?
Our fourth granddaughter Piper was stillborn at 8 months almost 6 years ago. It was a very shitty experience having to deal with that. We were watching our son's 2 little girls while they were at the hospital, and had to watch him explain to them that their baby sister was dead in the womb. It was heartbreaking. I don't really know what our son and his wife told our granddaughters about what happened to her, and where, if anywhere she might be.

They're devout believers, just like the rest of my family, so I'd bet that they're convinced that she's in heaven. I'm still not fully recovered from it though, I feel like a piece of my heart died with her. I've got a memorial tattoo of her footprints on my chest, along with the date that she had died on. I didn't know what else I could do.

They may or may not go to Heaven, but they always go to our hearts.

Now if only they'd go to the damned bathroom.

Heaven is not a real thing, at least not in the sense of an eternally existing place/location.
