Why do you believe it?
What evidence do you have to support your belief?

Yup.............
(sniff, sniff)
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
Wait now, maybe this one has some compelling evidence. Let's wait to hear what it is...surely, it's something we have never heard before.
You think?

King James Bible? Jerusalem Bible? English standard version? New English Bible? Geneva Bible? American Standard version? Or some other? Are all of the parts word of God? Like are the parts of the Bible that say the Earth is flat God's word? Or the parts that say the Earth doesn't move? Or that the Sun moves around the Earth? Or that the stars will fall from the sky on the Earth? Or the parts where donkeys and snakes talk?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
The bible is true because it says so in the bible!
